For the month of August, we are drawing attention to Trinidadian-born rapper Nicki Minaj and her giving ways. Yes, the original Harajuku Barbie is one generous babe.

In 2008, American heiress and socialite Paris Hilton bought a Bentley Continental GT for $200,000. It was her early Christmas present to herself. She then painted it cherry blossom pink. Not to be outdone, Minaj dropped $250,000 on a Pepto Bismol-colored Bentley Continental GT that she lovingly calls her “Barbie Bentley.” She wheeled it to the 2011 Grammy Awards nominations concert at The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The Bentley might have been Minaj’s lucky charm; she drove away with three nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Album for her platinum-selling debut entitled Pink Friday.

Due to her success, Minaj was able to splurge on a matching Bentley Continental for her boyfriend, Safaree “Scaff Beezy” Samuels. His whip is matte red, while hers is the same tone as her signature pink wig. Samuels took to Twitter to give a “shout out” to his new ride. He mentioned that it was the only matte red Bentley Continental GT in the United States. Most fans assume that his lavish automobile was a gift from Minaj, since she is the apparent breadwinner in their relationship. However, Samuels assured everyone that he has money to spare.

“I got ova 600k [sic] in insured jewels,” Samuels wrote on Facebook. “I think I can afford to buy a Bentley.”

With a net worth of at least $25 million, Minaj made headlines last year by buying her friend and mentor Lil Wayne a red Campagna T-Rex 14R for his 30th birthday. It has a reported value of $70,000. The Campagna is a hybrid sports car that has three wheels, two in the front and one in the back. It only weighs about 1,000 pounds, and its top speed is 150 mph. The back of the vehicle was customized with a special dedication: “Nicki Loves Tunechi.”
