In a 2011 interview, rapper and singer-songwriter T-Pain said he owned 34 automobiles. We are not sure where his collection stands now, but one thing is certain: the man is in love with his cool whips.
His "Luv (Wit a Stripper)" is only exceeded by his fondness for his snazzy assortment of automobiles.
T-Pain, also known as Faheem Rasheed Najm, admits that he likes to purchase vehicles on a whim; he never intended to have a car compilation. He said, "It just happened."
Like many people, the so-called Godfather of Auto-Tune originally intended to buy only one car "and it was gonna' be the best thing you've ever seen," but then he paid for more because "they started making other cars I liked, and I had the money to buy them."
He insists that his autos are not expensive toys; he actually drives them. In May 2013, he said he had to let go of 12 old-school rides because of the wear and tear they had sustained. After driving his 2008 Bugatti Veyron, he had a habit of driving fast in his other cars, too. As a result, his older rides frequently needed repairs. He rarely buys vintage cars these days, but he does so on occasion.
Najm's Bugatti cost $1.8 million, and it is the priciest auto in his hoard. He decided to purchase one for himself after Lil Wayne let him take his Veyron for a spin. Najm admitted that he had stopped traffic before, probably because seeing a Veyron on the road is a spectacle.
"I never thought I'd own a $2 million car, let alone even having $2 million!" he said.
T-Pain said he buys cars with the extra money he makes; he never digs into his (presumably) bottomless bank account. He reasons that the funds in his bank are reserved for his family. He was able to afford the Bugatti after putting on performances and shows for a year.
